Dark Web - Part 1

Dark Web - Part 1

Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yandex, Facebook, or any other website that we can use through our normal web browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Opera, which we use in our daily life that comes under normal web or in technical terms we can say "Surface Web".

Surface Web is accessible all over the world we all use Surface Web if we have to find something, have to do our assignments or do any other normal Google searches that are "Surface Web". It is easily accessible all over the world. Nowadays everyone has their Internet and everyone uses surface web.

But do you know Surface Web is only 4% to 5% of the actual INTERNET? And we all know how big the INTERNET is! So what do you guys think what is inside the rest of 95% INTERNET?

Okay...So let's come to the point. The INTERNET we use in our daily lives is the "Surface Web". There are n numbers of websites on the surface web that we can't even count on our fingertips. It's like a space full of stars.

Deep Web, is the hidden part of the INTERNET that you can't access by using normal surface web browsers (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge), you need a special browser for that, "tor- The Onion Router". It's quite different and a little bit harder to surf the deep web rather than the surface web, because when you are surfing the deep web you are completely Anonymous, which means your identity is hidden (most of the time).

By the way, there is a huge difference between "Deep Web" and "Dark Web", yes they both are two different terms. Those who know what's the difference between the "Deep Web" and the "Dark Web", are still confused because they think all the illegal activities are done on the "Deep Web", but that's not true!

On the Deep Web, you can see there is privacy which we are losing daily on the Surface Web, that's why everything on the Deep Web" is hidden. There you can do anything that you want, like posting something, buying/selling, trading, and some other illegal things.

What if I say somehow you all already used "Deep Web", would you believe me? It's okay if you don't believe me, but that's the truth. Okay, let me tell you. Have you ever logged into a website? Yes, of course! what a silly quest...so, every website where you have to input your credentials to access your account is somehow linked with the "Deep Web". Have you ever seen, that the password you enter is hidden, and this sensitive info like your username or password is kept safe in a database and that database is kept safe in the "Deep Web"? It is because they are sensitive information and hackers can easily exploit them, so they are kept far from hackers.

Most of the time, the Deep Web is used to host websites or their databases because it is much more secure than the "Surface web". But on the other hand, there are a lot of illegal activities on the "Deep Web". Some of you, who already surfed the deep web you guys know that we can't access the Deep or Dark Web with our normal browsers, we need a different browser. Tor- The Onion Router or The Onion Browser. The name "onion" came from an "onion", yes! because an onion has a lot of layers, and here I mean TOR, layers represent security. More Layers = More Security.

This is the process when you use Tor, your identity is hidden in multiple security layers, like your IP address. Your Public IP address is different and your Tor IP address is different. If you are curious to know your IP address just search "What my IP" on Google, and you'll see your Public IP address. Okay, let's come back to the main topic.

On Tor your IP address changes continuously whenever you go from point A to point B, your IP address will change. And because of this security feature, n number of criminals come to Deep Web and run their illegal business. For example: selling human organs, drugs, weapons, snuff videos, and much more creepy and disturbing stuff.

You'll find some hackers there who can hack someone's Instagram or Facebook account for just $ 50-100. Like your account is only valued 50$, damn silly, but jokes aside this deal is cheap, but don't do this!!! They also hack their credit or debit card info. But most nowadays finding a genuine hacker is like finding a pin in a haystack.

One other thing other than those powerful hackers, there are top elite criminals were there on the Deep Web. And the most snuff thing available on the Deep Web is "Hiring a hitman". Look this is something serious! You can give some little amount of money and murder whoever you want.

Now the payment method is quite simple but not normal. The transaction is done using Bitcoin. Everyone knows what is Bitcoin, but if you don't...ahh, I don't know man Are you still living in 1800BC just kidding, but you have to know about Bitcoin. Bitcoin is because it is fast and secure. It uses blockchain technology which makes it very secure, which means you never know who is the payer and who is the payee, completely anonymous. No one can trace it, I mean you could but it'll take a lot of time like some years and in that time what if your target hires another assassin FOR YOU? So be aware of that.

Like I said previously finding a legit website that provides real services is like finding a pin in a haystack, because scammers are everywhere maybe they are sitting next to you, just kidding. But what if?

As I told you the Surface Web is only 4% to 5% of the actual INTERNET, and the rest 95% is the Deep Web. In the same way, the bottom of the Deep web is the "Dark Web". The darkest area of the whole INTERNET is the Dark Web.

Okay let me ask you a question and you have to answer me...okay? okay!!!

Are you feeling scared because of this Deep Web thing, yes? Oh god, then I prefer not to get into this stuff because maybe you'll feel more uncomfortable after knowing what goes into the Dark Web. You'll be in shock like you never knew these things existed in this world and you didn't know about it. You know someone is regularly watching and listening to you.

Okay, let's take an example. You got an invitation to your friend's wedding and you are talking about weddings, clothes, and gifts. I don't know if you have ever noticed that or not, but you'll get advertisements according to your talks, like wedding clothes, gifts for newly married couples, and something like that. Have you ever asked yourself, How? and Why?

This is creepy and a bit scary, I know. We'll talk about this topic on some other day.

🛡
Till then stay safe and speak carefully because someone is always listening and watching you.
